Abstract

This article seeks to present the contributions of the use of MAPES (Models and Analogies’ Structure-mapping System) for research on analogies. Thus, we sought to understand the ideas, perceptions and opinions of researchers professors about the construction of mappings through this digital tool, which was conceived based on Gentner's Structure-mapping Theory and coding patterns of mapped correspondences in a analogy suggested by AUTOR C. The data collected allowed to identify, in the view of the participants, several contributions of the tool to the field of study of analogies.
