Abstract
This article aims to present an analysis of Lucimélia Romão's performance Mil Litros de Preto in order to discuss the relationship between performance and race and then present the possibilities of an aesthetic within a decolonial perspective. The concept of the body and its relationship with memory and the African diaspora will also be discussed. Considering, therefore, the history of theater from a hegemonic logic, the dimensions of race and coloniality in the artistic field will be problematized.
