Resumo

Muitas pesquisas sobre audiodescrição (AD) têm sido desenvolvidas no âmbito dos Estudos da Tradução (FRYER, 2016; ORERO & MATAMALA, 2016), entretanto, há poucas referências bibliográficas no que concerne à AD do gênero terror (MICHALEWICZ, 2015). Com vistas a promover uma discussão acerca da tradução de características particulares do gênero terror, foram feitas entrevistas com oito audiodescritores a respeito de sua experiência com AD de terror. Adotou-se como metodologia a análise temática, de modo que nove temas foram selecionados com base em bibliografia sobre horror no cinema (CHERRY, 2009) e nas respostas dos entrevistados para nortearem nossa reflexão: sobre o assunto: 1) Gênero; 2) Efeito; 3) Linguagem; 4) Linguagem Cinematográfica; 5) Conteúdo; 6) Trilha Sonora; 7) Silêncio; 8) Voz; e 9) Prosódia. Os dados indicam que os entrevistados consideram que o gênero do produto audiovisual influencia o trabalho do audiodescritor.
