Abstract
In times of discussion about bilingual education for the deaf as a modality, in this dossier our lenses were directed to experiences carried out in different countries, with care being taken to elect reference researchers in the field of History of Education, subarea History of Deaf Education. This initiative was linked to the postgraduate course FE 190 C International Seminar on History of Education: memories of Deaf Education shared with the Federal University of Espírito Santo (whose course code is: PPGE-5303), under the coordination of Professor Lucyenne Matos da Costa Vieira-Machado and the invaluable support of doctoral student José Raimundo Rodrigues, also from UFES and being supervised by Lucyenne.
