Abstract

This article is the result of a course of studies of a research group on action research in Sports Pedagogy, whose objective was to conduct a systematic review of scientific production on the teaching methods of sports, carried out through action research. For this, we conducted a search in the EBSCO database, as it is a database that includes articles from the Pedagogy of Sport in the international sphere. Eight articles were found, which were analyzed through a reflexive thematic analysis, and we arrived at the following categories of analysis: (a) Research site; (b) Search Time; (c) Scenarios; (d) production of information; (e) instruments; (f) Pedagogical approach used; (g) Action Search Types.  After the analysis, we noticed that there are different ways of doing action research in the Pedagogy of Sport. Basically, the research is for someone (collaborative) and or about someone (strategic), that is: in the first case the teaching process is thought for a given group and there is dialogue with those who participate in the research. In the second group (about) the research was carried out through a teaching intervention, in which those who participate do not contribute.  Another striking aspect of the analysis was the lack of research that investigates with the participants (critical action research).
