Construction and relevance of geolodactics

Abstract

This contribution was prepared as a reply to the work "Reflections on the term Geolodactics" by Dr. José Selléz-Martínez published in this same issue. A brief contextualization of the evolution of the teaching of Geology in Argentina in the last thirty years is presented and answers are offered to central aspects of the criticism made: a) the origin of geolodáctics, b) on the construction of the acronym geolodáctics, c) on the relevance of geolodáctics neologism, d) on prudence and the supposed disproportion of the meaning of geolodáctics, e) on Earth sciences and their didactics. It concludes by pointing out that the geolodáctics neologism tries to offer an answer and make visible an educational problem investigated by its author. The proposal is in an evaluation process by the community of Geology and Earth Sciences professors, who will adopt, reject or modify it in whole or in part, as a correspondence to any hypothesis of scientific work.
